Propterodon morrisi
Taxonomy
Paracynohyaenodon morrisi was named by Matthew and Granger (1924). Its type specimen is AMNH 19160, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 23 miles South of Iren Dabasu (AMNH), which is in an Irdinmanhan terrestrial horizon in the Irdin Manha Formation of China.
It was recombined as Propterodon morrisi by Van Valen (1965), Polly and Lange-Badré (1993) and Polly (1996).
