Antarctotrechus balli
Taxonomy
Antarctotrechus balli was named by Ashworth and Erwin (2016). Its type specimen is NMNH:ADP147741, an elytra, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oliver Bluffs, which is in a Miocene fine channel fill siltstone/sandstone in the Meyer Desert Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Antarctotrechus.
