Turpanotherium elegans
Taxonomy
Turpanotherium elegans was named by Qiu and Wang (2007). Its type specimen is IVPP V 3191, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 km west of Feiyue Railway station, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Taoshuyuanzi Formation of China. It is the type species of Turpanotherium.
