Taxonomy
Elisama hindwingnii was named by Lee (2016). Its type specimen is SMNS 67573, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (SMNS collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
