Molassitherium albigense
Taxonomy
Acerotherium albigense was named by Roman (1912). Its type specimen is Museum Toulouse-Lautrec Albi specimen, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Sauzière Saint-Jean, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in France.
It was recombined as Protaceratherium albigense by von Breuning (1924), Antoine et al. (2010); it was recombined as Molassitherium albigense by Becker et al. (2013).
