Stuckyhyus siouxensis
Taxonomy
Thinohyus (Bothrolabis) siouxensis was named by Peterson (1906). Its type specimen is CM 1423, a skull (a nearly complete skull and lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Agate Springs Quarries, which is in a Harrisonian channel sandstone in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.
It was recombined as Desmathyus siouxensis by Matthew (1907) and Pearson (1923); it was recombined as Stuckyhyus siouxensis by Prothero (2015) and Prothero (2021).
