Syringopora lambei was named by Young and Noble (1987) [= (?) Syringopora bifurcata Lonsdale. Lambe (partim), 1899, p. 51.]. Its type specimen is GSC 78024 (colony) and is a 3D body fossil.

G. Young and J. Noble 1987 | A species of Syringopora with tabularium diameter, corallite spacing, spacing of tabulae, and wall thickness as in Table 4. Corallites subcircular, subovate, or irregular in transverse section. Transverse stolons extremely rare except at offset points; new corallites may be produced by offset or by bifurcation. Septal spines short, very thick, sparsely arranged. Tabulae thin, mostly incomplete. Axial tube very broad, diameter about 0.5-0.8 mm. |
