Rhagonycha (Rhagonycha) hesperus

Taxonomy
Telephorus hesperus was named by Wickham (1914). Its type specimen is MCZ 2496, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Cantharis hesperus by Wickham (1920); it was recombined as Rhagonycha (Rhagonycha) hesperus by Fanti (2017), Fanti (2017).
