Taxonomy
Malthodes kotejai was named by Kuśka and Kupryjanowicz (2005). Its type specimen is MZ 24199, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Malthodes (Malthodes) kotejai by Fanti (2017), Fanti (2017).
