Taxonomy
Malthodes sucini was named by Kuśka and Kania (2010). Its type specimen is DEI 161-2, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Hoffeins/Deutsches Entomologische Institut collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Malthodes (Malthodes) sucini by Fanti (2017) and Fanti (2017).
