Taxonomy
Tytthonyx geiseri was named by Poinar and Fanti (2016). Its type specimen is Poinar C-7-70, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Tytthonyx (Tytthonyx) geiseri by Fanti (2017), Fanti (2017).
