Taxonomy
Sigenyctia oligocaena was named by Smith (2006). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Boutersem TGV, which is in a Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Borgloon Formation of Belgium. It is the type species of Sigenyctia.
