Prohegetotherium malalhuense
Taxonomy
Prohegetotherium malalhuense was named by Cerdeño and Reguero (2015). Its type specimen is MCNAM-PV 3848, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Fiera (north side of the ravine), which is in a Deseadan terrestrial tuff in the Agua de la Piedra Formation of Argentina.
