Taxonomy

Terebratula grandis was named by Blumenbach (1803). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pliothyrina grandis by Cooper (1983), Popiel-Barczyk and Barczyk (1990), Dulai and von der Hocht (2020) and Bitner and Müller (2022).

Synonyms

Terebratula subrhomboidea was named by Speyer (1860).

It was synonymized subjectively with Pliothyrina grandis by Dulai and von der Hocht (2020).
