Taxonomy
Primaspis (Taemasaspis) campbelli was named by Chatterton (1971). Its type specimen is ANU 17830, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Chatterton Loc. A, near Yass, NSW, which is in an Emsian marine lime mudstone/wackestone in the Taemas Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Primaspis (Taemasaspis).
