Taxonomy
Trochurus nodulosus was named by McCoy (1851). Its type specimen is SMA 41346a, a pygidium, and it is a mold.
It was recombined as Lichas nodulosus by Lichas (1852); it was recombined as Platylichas nodulosus by Whittington (1962); it was recombined as Allolichas nodulosus by Holloway and Thomas (2002).
