Carrizoneura carpenteri
Taxonomy
Carrizoneura carpenteri was named by Prokop and Kukalová-Peck (2017). Its type specimen is Kukalova-Peck 1/2014, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Carrizo Arroyo (Canadian Museum of Nature collection), which is in an Asselian pond mudstone in the Bursum Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Carrizoneura.
