Podocnemis argentinensis
Taxonomy
Podocnemis argentinensis was named by Cattoi and Freiberg (1958). Its type specimen is MACN 17988, a partial shell (an almost complete plastron without anterior and posterior ends), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Queñoal, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Maiz Gordo Formation of Argentina.
