Sivaonyx lehmani was named by Crusafont-Pairo and Golpe (1962). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Fontana, which is in the Turolian of lignite the Alfambra Formation Spain.
It was synonymized subjectively with Enhydriodon lluecai by Repenning (1976).
