Valdopteron woodi
Taxonomy
Valdopteron woodi was named by Kelly et al. (2018). Its type specimen is NHMUK II.3099, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Smokejacks Brickworks (Jarzembowski collection), which is in a Barremian pond claystone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Valdopteron.
