Hilarcotherium miyou
Taxonomy
Hilarcotherium miyou was named by Carrillo et al. (2018). Its type specimen is IGMp 881327, a mandible (partial mandible with left ramus bearing left m3, m2, canines, and alveoli for the incisors), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is STRI Loc. 470058 (Castilletes Fm), which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial sandstone in the Castilletes Formation of Colombia.
