Taxonomy
Olenellus lundgreni was named by Moberg (1892) [Lectotype selected by Bergström 1973 p. 304.]. Its type specimen is LM LO 1398 T and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Holmia lundgreni by Moberg (1899), Lindström (1901), Walcott (1910) and Fritz (1973); it was recombined as Wanneria lundgreni by Bergström (1973); it was recombined as Kjerulfia lundgreni by Ahlberg et al. (1986); it was recombined as Elliptocephala lundgreni by Lieberman (1999).
