Taxonomy
Anabernicula robusta was named by Short (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 5769, a limb element (right humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rushville Quarry (UNSM Sd-3), which is in an Irvingtonian terrestrial horizon in Nebraska.
