Taxonomy
Ibis molucca was named by Cuvier (1829). It is extant.

It was recombined as Threskiornis molucca by Worthy et al. (2015), Clements et al. (2017); it was recombined as Threskiornis moluccus by del Hoyo et al. (2014), Worthy and Nguyen (2020).
