Dalmania dubia was named by Barrande (1846).

It was recombined as Eudolatites dubius by Havlicek and Vanek (1966); it was recombined as Eudolatites (Destombesites) dubia by Snadjr (1987); it was recombined as Eudolatites dubia by Budil (1999).
