Taxonomy
Ugolyakia kaluginae was named by Perkovsky and Sukhomlin (2018). Its type specimen is PIN 3631/37, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr amber, Ugolyak (PIN collection 3631), which is in a Santonian fluvial amber in the Kheta Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Ugolyakia.
