Taxonomy
Colon burmiticum was named by Yamamoto (2018). Its type specimen is FMNHINS-3636811, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (FMNH coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
