Gallirallus huiatua
Taxonomy
Gallirallus huiatua was named by Steadman et al. (2000). Its type specimen is MNZ S37708, a set of limb elements (tarsometarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Anakuli Cave, Hakupu, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Niue.
