Chupkaornis keraorum
Taxonomy
Chupkaornis keraorum was named by Tanaka et al. (2018). Its type specimen is MCM.A773, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kumaoi Creek, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian coastal siltstone/sandstone in the Kashima Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Chupkaornis.
