Carpolestes twelvemilensis
Taxonomy
Carpolestes twelvemilensis was named by Mattingly et al. (2017). Its type specimen is CM 89403, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Twelvemile Bonanza, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
