Taxonomy
Anomites lenticularis was named by Wahlenberg (1821). It is the type species of Orusia.

It was recombined as Orthis lenticularis by Matthew (1891); it was recombined as Orthis (Orusia) lenticularis by Walcott (1905); it was recombined as Orusia lenticularis by Henningsmoen (1958).
