Porzana rua (Mangaia crake)
Taxonomy
Porzana rua was named by Steadman (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 402876, a partial skeleton (associated complete humerus and two tarsometatarsi), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Te Rua Rere Cave, Tava'enga District, Mangaia, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Cook Islands.
