Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
R. Croitor et al. 2021Antlers are relatively short and robust, with three and more tines. The first ramification is situated close to the burr: the height of ramification is roughly equal to the anteroposterior diameter of antler above the burr. The antler beam is moderately deflected caudally from the burr and do not form a backward bending in the area of the first ramification. The beam cross-section above the first ramification is triangular or rounded-triangular. The second tine is inserted on the medial or posteromedial side of beam and directed up- ward and medially. The distal part of antler is flattened. The pattern of second and crown ramifications is rather dichotomous. The antler sur- face is not pearled. Pedicles in mature males are rather short: the pedicle diameter in adult males exceeds the pedicle length.
