Taxonomy

Burmorsolus was named by Wunderlich (2015). Its type is Burmorsolus nonplumosus. It is the type genus of Burmorsolini, Burmorsoloidea.

It was assigned to Burmorsolini by Wunderlich (2015); and to Burmorsolidae by Wunderlich (2020).
