Taxonomy
Libanoliupanshania mimi was named by Azar et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MIM Museum F63, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Hjoula (MIM museum collection), which is in a Cenomanian carbonate lime mudstone in the Sannine Formation of Lebanon. It is the type species of Libanoliupanshania.
