Taxonomy
Ateleocystites lansae was named by McDermott and Paul (2017) [Ateleocystites? lansae]. Its type specimen is BGS GSM 102409 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 16, temporary exposure on A477 road cutting, near Llanddowror, which is in a Rawtheyan marine mudstone in the Slade and Redhill Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom.
