Eutreptornis uintae
Taxonomy
Eutreptornis uintae was named by Cracraft (1971). Its type specimen is AMNH 2092, a set of postcrania (tibiotarsus, tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is "Uinta C" near Ouray, which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Uinta Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Eutreptornis.
