Bathornis minor
Taxonomy
Bathornis minor was named by Cracraft (1971). Its type specimen is SDSM 6239, a set of postcrania (tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-624), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.
