Iberictis azanzae
Taxonomy
Iberictis azanzae was named by Ginsburg and Morales (1992). Its type specimen is MPZ-16522, a maxilla (left maxillary fragment with P4 and partial M1 with the lingual platform and protocone), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Artesilla, Villafeliche, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Spain. It is the type species of Iberictis.
