Taxonomy
Tetracoleus aristovi was named by Ponomarenko (2018). Its type specimen is PIN 3446/60, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Aristovo (PIN collection 3446), which is in a Changhsingian pond siliciclastic in the Salarevo Formation of the Russian Federation.
