Galatiadelphys minor was named by Métais et al. (2018) [urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:F40F881B-0B9F-4459-A0E0-67AC3E8BB7CE]. Its type specimen is EOU-UCF-2, a tooth (left M2/), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Galatiadelphys.
