Mops turkwellensis
Taxonomy
Mops turkwellensis was named by Gunnell and Manthi (2018). Its type specimen is KNM-KP 69820, a tooth (left M2/), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kanapoi Bat Site, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in the Kanapoi Formation of Kenya.
