Protypotherium colloncurensis

Taxonomy
Protypotherium colloncurensis was named by Vera et al. (2017). Its type specimen is MLP 91-IX-4-26, a skull (skull fragmented in several pieces: hemi- palates with right and left M1–3, part of basicranium and posterodorsal fragment of vault), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chico River, which is in a Colloncuran terrestrial sandstone in the Collón Cura Formation of Argentina.
