Taxonomy
Praeterpaculla equester was named by Wunderlich (2015). Its type specimen is F2699/BU/CJW, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
It was recombined as Furcembolus equester by Wunderlich (2017), Jiang and Li (2021).
