Burmesarchaea pseudogibber was named by Wunderlich (2017). Its type specimen is F2529/BU/CJW, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Wunderlich collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
