Taxonomy
Madres delpueblo was named by Petrulevičius (2018). Its type specimen is MAPBAR 4140, a hindwing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Quarry RP3, Río Pichileufú, which is in a Lutetian crater lake mudstone in the Ventana Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Madres.
