Isochirotherium delicatum

Taxonomy
Isochirotherium delicatum was named by Courel and Demathieu (1976). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is piste IV, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Le Roubreau tracksite, Largentière mine, which is in an Anisian/Ladinian terrestrial sandstone in the Grès Inférieurs du Roubreau Formation of France.

L. Courel and G. Demathieu 1976la masse des quatre premiers orteils ets étroite. Les 2ème et 3ème sont de longueurs sensiblement égales et bien développés. Les 1er et 4ème sont très courts. La griffe du permier est bien visible, celle du 4ème, petite et peu imprimée. Le coussinet digito-métatarsien V, en position postérieure, est situé sous les orteils III et IV; son développement est variable mais est assez réduit. Il n'existe pas de trace de la partie phalangienne du 5ème orteil. La main est petite et située à l'avant du pied, devant les 1er et 2ème rayons.
