Euestheria menendezi was named by Vaz Tassi et al. (2015) [Holotype IANIGLA-PI 2994]. Its type specimen is Euestheria menendezi Gallego and Tassi 2015, IANIGLA-PI 2994 and is a 3D body fossil.
