Liaoningia opima
Taxonomy
Liaoningia opima was named by Yu and Dong (1993). Its type specimen is Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Beijing, B0043 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangcaogou, Beipiao, which is in a Triassic marine horizon in the Yangcaogou Formation of China. It is the type species of Liaoningia, Liaoningia.
