Taxonomy
Dayeconcha elongata was named by Wang (1993). It is not extant. Its type specimen is University of Geosciences, Beijing, TJ207-30. Its type locality is Jinshandian, Daye (Wuchang Formation), which is in a Jurassic fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Wuchang Formation of China. It is the type species of Dayeconcha.
